The Ghost and The Grace

College News Review

August 12th, 2009

Check out the brand new review from CollegeNews.com of Behold! A Pale Horse.

‘How Far You Go’ has a backwater folk feel with its banjo-laden verses and low-pitched lyrics, but musically explodes its refrains with alternative rock while showcasing Anderson’s vocal prowess. ‘Antlion’ relaxes with its meandering banjo and laid-back vocals, leaving you satisfied and pacified. On ‘Genetics,’ the single from the album, Anderson takes the alternative genre’s best attributes and adds his own subtle folk topping.”

Review Contest

July 30th, 2009

So here is how this works. I have noticed that a lot of you guys out there have your own websites, profile pages and blogs, and obviously I know that I lot of you out there also have Behold! A Pale Horse because I hand packaged every single one. What I am looking for the the most insightful review of the Behold! A Pale Horse by The Ghost And The Grace. This does not mean the most glowing review. If you give it a 1 out of 10 but you can back it up with thoughtful and relevant insight into the music, then you could win; vice versa, if you give it a rave review but don’t know what you are talking about, you won’t win. The person who can most thoughtfully dissect the record will win a free The Ghost And The Grace T-Shirt shipped to them anywhere in the world. All you have to do is post your review in your blog, website, profile etc. (anywhere where it actually stays up, not a bulletin or tweet) and then send a link to GhostAndGraceLive@gmail.com

You have until the afternoon of August 6th, so get to work folks!

The Band

July 27th, 2009

The Ghost And The Grace rehearsals have been going amazingly, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with my excellent live band. They are some of the best musicians in town and equally good friends, so in honor of them I though I would do a post for you guys to check out all of their other musical endeavors and projects.

Ryan Soukkala also played Drums in the legendary Lands Farther East, as well as Idiot Pilot
Drew Fitchette rips guitar in RooftopsHARD.
Sarah Jerns is Pan Pan. She plays trumpet and keys, sometimes at the same time.
Ian Imhof get’s things done for Clickpop Records. He also slays the tambourine and sings backup vocals.
Chris Newton shreds guitar, and blogs about it right here.
Paul Latham holds down the bass, and is definitely not this guy.

If you get the time check out eveyone elses other projects. I am going to be posting a date for the worlds first Ghost And The Grace show in the next coming days. Stay tuned!

43 Minutes In Heaven

July 24th, 2009

The other day I sat down for an interview with Joel from Idiotfans.net, over iChat, and it ended up being a 43 minutes long! I don’t know why any of you guys out there would be interested in hearing me ramble on for 43 minutes, but if that sounds like something you are into then check it out below. We cover a lot of ground, from The Ghost And The Grace lyrics, to production techniques, and even a few questions about the next Idiot Pilot album. Big thanks to Joel for putting this together.
